Inspired by the Californian Gold Rush that took place between 1848–1855, the artwork behind the scarf “Gold Rush” features real elements of nature that merge and flow effortlessly together – in a similar fashion to the water running through its riverbeds.
Employing the world as her muse and a blank scarf as her canvas, French-American artist Isabelle Gougenheim blends her passion for art and an innate love for scarves into wearable masterpieces. After sketching her designs – which she explains, are “inspired by the souls of the city streets” – Gougenheim prints these urban poems on a luxurious and airy modal-silk fabric. Her designs are available in fashion boutiques and museums all over the world.
