The urban art of Portugal takes its wearable form in the scarf “Lisboa”. Inspired by her own travel experiences, Isabelle Gougenheim expressed her love for the city by blending very simple art strokes and bright colors that remind of graffiti and the feeling embedded in the streets of Lisboa.
Employing the world as her muse and a blank scarf as her canvas, French-American artist Isabelle Gougenheim blends her passion for art and an innate love for scarves into wearable masterpieces. After sketching her designs – which she explains, are “inspired by the souls of the city streets” – Gougenheim prints these urban poems on a luxurious and airy modal-silk fabric. Her designs are available in fashion boutiques and museums all over the world.
